Cycle 100 Miles In A Day Like Me

One of my goals last year when I started to use my bike a bit more seriously was to cycle 100 miles in a day. It sounds easy after all those guys on the Tour cycle that every day for three weeks and more over mountains and stuff. So I tried for the first time, here in Spain we work in kilometres so it actually sounds further, I had to go 160 kilometres. It was summer and hot so after about the first twenty kilometres, 15 miles, I was a bit dehydrated. I turned around and just made it home before literally collapsing in a heap with jelly legs.

I thought that what I needed was some training so I got online and looked for a training course that suited me. Well what I found was this Training course. It told me what I needed to be doing, what mistakes I needed to avoid and a whole lot more. Three months later I did it. Therefore I highly recommend this course as it comes from experience. It takes you by the hand, or the pedal with step by step instructions of how to get to where you want to be.

If you want something for not so specific a target then check out David’s training programmes here. Loads of information about how to train for cycling from a master cyclist

Ebike: The Electric Scooter

Even though these are not ebikes, we’ve seen and incredible jump in the sales of electric scooters in a short time. They are a great way to get around town if you are not in a hurry, although with speeds reaching up to 15 or even 20 miles per hour in some, it can be useful even if you are in a hurry, too! Ebike electric scooters are safe, with no explosive, flammable fuels to fill them with, and no hot parts to burn your self on. They are wonderfully comfortable, strong and simple to operate.

Electric scooters are great for running errands or going grocery shopping, or for younger riders, they make for an excellent way to get the kids off the computer and outside. When used with proper protection, ie. a helmet and maybe kneepads depending on how coordinated the rider may be, they are also quite safe; just as safe as any normal scooter, bike or ebike.

No separate license is necessary to ride an electric scooter . Just jump on and get going. Expensive fuel isn’t a factor with an electric scooter . You don’t have to worry about the high cost of gas or the flamability. All you have to do is to plug the scooter into a wall socket and it takes just 5-6 hours to “fuel” up.

Most of these electric scooters get about 45 miles on one hour of charging. If that doesn’t seem like much, just remember that you won’t be going far each trip, and outlets are available almost everywhere. They are safe enough for you to feel confident in sending your child to his buddy’s house and you can save the car drive. Highways aren’t probably the best place to ride these electric scooters, but back streets are perfect.

There are a zillion models of electric scooters you can find in online stores. Electric scooters are perfect for running errands. Some are even built to haul groceries without a balance problem. There are even novelty models on the market, for example a ‘rolling cooler’ that gets up to fifteen miles an hour and can carry up to two hundred twenty pounds of combined beer and human cargo. Electric scooters are perfect for short trips around town or commuting. They can be found in lots of models, one of which should fit your needs.
